Obviously some good news for Florida State fans came on Tuesday when Florida State Attorney Willie Meggs announced Seminole quarterback and Heisman Trophy candidate Jameis Winston will not be charged with sexual assault.
Of course, the prosecutors’ job was easy after a search warrant revealed the alleged victim had “five to six shots at a bar” and her “memory is very broken from that point forward.”
Certainly not an excuse for sexual assault but we can take one stark lesson from all of this:
If you are a college football player and a candidate for the highest honor in college football, you can pretty much do whatever you want and get away with it. Or so it often seems.
But scouring the web the other night, I might of found something even more compelling than a high-profile college quarterback being accused of sexual assault.
Courtesy of the Bleacher Report, I found a video gem about the ball boy at Florida State.
Apparently he is called “Red Lightning” (presumably because of his hair but you never know with college kids these days).
So, to get you better acquainted with this fine young scholar, I present this video treasure for your viewing pleasure.
P.S. Who doesn’t love Cake playing in the background of any video?
